  • Facilitate problem solving sessions for one or more of the upper division mathematics courses.
  • Math majors with a good GPA and good recommendations from math faculty may apply.
  • Currently enrolled as a mathematics major with completion of Math 111, 151, 152 and/or 171 receiving a B or higher in the course.
  • Work in the Math department's tutoring center or via Zoom, tutoring students who need help in their upper-division math classes.
  • Must have complete the course you are expected to grade with an A.
  • Grade tests, homework, quizzes for various upper division mathematics courses.
  • Assist the instructor in the laboratories, and/or perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair in consultation with an appropriate faculty member.
  • Provide instructional support to assigned instructor in Mathematics by grading papers in a variety of Math courses,.
  • Job Duties may include the following, but will be dependent upon the specific course to which the instructional student assistant will be assigned, as well as upon the specific needs of the faculty member in charge of the course: If you have applied and no other positions are available, you will be notified. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.Īnticipated Appointment Dates: This position is opened until filled.
